Families in Action Together

Welcome to the website of F.I.A.T.

(Families in Action Together) !

We are a newly formed Catholic homeschool support group that serves the Joliet and Plainfield areas in Illinois.  F.I.A.T. provides opportunities for faith, fellowship, and education for the whole family.  We seek to encourage one another as we strive to give our children the formation that they need to become mature disciples of Christ.  We are based out of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Joliet, IL.

All F.I.A.T. members receive a monthly newsletter with all the of latest news and happenings associated with F.I.A.T.

F.I.A.T. members partake in many activities together including:

- Sports (basketball, baseball, football,  

   soccer)

- Field Trips

- Little Flowers Girls' Club

- Mighty Angels Boy's Club

- Lumen Christi Educational Co-op

- Meetings (every other month)

- All Saints' Day Party

- Monthly Family Open Gym Nights

       Divine Confirmation!

In the spring of 2007 we had our group name and members waiting to sign up.  We were only waiting for our insurance policy to be processed.  On March 25th, the Feast of the Annunciation, the insurance policy went into effect and we became "official."  We feel that this was confirmation from God that we are doing His will in forming this group, since our name "F.I.A.T." refers to Mary's "yes" at the Annunciation.
